St. Francis Anglican Church

Home of the Traditional English Mass

A Word from the Rector...Welcome!

At St. Francis we establish nothing new.  We are a part of the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church.  We profess the orthodox Christian Faith, as it was revealed to the Apostles by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

The Holy Eucharist is our central act of worship. Here were see Christ, “face to face and handle things unseen.”  The very Gate of Heaven is opened to us!  Here the Word of God comes alive.  Here the Community of the Faithful gathers to be nourished as the Body of Christ and sent out into the world to be a witness of the Light.  We maintain the Catholic and Apostolic Faith as received by the Church of England and expressed in the Anglican Tradition.  The traditional Book of Common Prayer is employed through the use of the 1928 American Book of Common Prayer and the Anglican Missal.  We uphold the Seven Holy Sacraments of the historic Undivided Church.  We believe and affirm the three historic creeds of the Church: the Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed.

We believe that God took on frail human flesh in the person of Jesus Christ, in order that, having been made man in all respects, He could save us from sin.  He has redeemed us through His Cross.  In so doing, Jesus is our model, who liberally applies mercy to all who call upon him.  By his Cross, Resurrection, and Ascension, Christ has made us living members of His Church—His Mystical Body, that great Communion of Saints.  As we serve Him and strive to become more like Him, we serve the Church here on earth.  We also await His coming in glory to judge both the quick and the dead where we shall forever be with Him in service of the Church Triumphant.

We believe that through the Holy Scriptures and the Sacred Tradition of the Church, God has revealed His will for us.  Our focus is to make Christ known to the world as we are being transformed into the likeness of Jesus Christ, upholding these immutable truths.  We profess no faith of our own, save that of the Undivided Church.  The Church is of Divine origin; man did not create Her, nor can he destroy Her.  The Church was instituted by Christ and entrusted by him to the Apostles.  We have maintained that unbroken line of succession to this day.

We welcome all who wish to worship with us.  Come and join our dynamic fellowship.
